A new innovative mechanical brick and stone façade system – combining natural beauty with fast, cost-effective installation.
Vivalda Group, the UK’s largest distributor of rainscreen facades, has expanded its product range to include brick slip, further enhancing its one-stop shop offering. Available in four different options, handmade brick slips, waterstruck brick slips, extruded brick slips and natural stone slips.
James Butler, Group Specification Sales & Marketing Director for VIVALDA Group, said: “This is an exciting time for the Vivalda Group as we continue to develop our offering. The addition of brick slip to our product range demonstrates our commitment to the façade market as we continue to offer the largest range of cladding products in one place in the UK & Ireland.”
“We have worked with highly experienced experts in brick slip innovation to bring the new fully tested mechanical brick slip to market. The VBrick system is the result of years of industry knowledge and hands-on development.”
VBrick seamlessly blends the authentic beauty of real brick and natural stone with a cost-effective, fast-track installation process. The system features genuine and extruded brick and stone slips, meticulously engineered to mechanically attach to an extruded aluminium backing section. Installed in horizontal rows, these extruded sections provide a durable foundation, while the brick slips are inserted into place with a mechanical ‘insertion’ feature that delivers both high strength and flexibility for precise adjustment during installation.
The system utilises anodised extruded aluminium brick track in both 3-course and single-course configurations with frost-resistant real brick slips, ensuring an anticipated design life of up to 60 years in most applications. One-piece corners, handcrafted from full bricks, waterstruck, and made of natural stone slips, allow for seamless corners and are capable of being mounted at an angle for more demanding finishes. Additionally, VBrick can be used to create soffits and decorative patterns, adding a unique character to any project.
Built on years of industry insight and practical refinement, with improvements through rigorous testing, the system is suitable for projects of any size and offers extensive options for colours and textures. The flat back of the VBrick system plays a crucial role in fire safety by providing a solid surface for cavity fire barriers to expand against during a fire, significantly enhancing the overall system performance and ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations. For precision and seamless finishes, a cutting and rectification service is also available, providing accurate cuts and adjustments to meet specific design requirements.
VBrick is now available and is being distributed exclusively through the Vivalda Group, which includes BBS Facades’ outlet in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and Swanley, Kent.
